Anime Zero Characters and Units Guide

Published · Updated

Anime Zero uses a different character system from many anime Roblox games. You are not summoning a separate character and weapon; the rolled combat tool is referred to as a weapon, unit, or character. Rolling Rubber Man, for example, gives you a stretchy-armed anime-inspired kit rather than a separate Rubber Man companion.

How units work

Every unit has a four-move kit: a basic attack, three skills, and an ultimate that becomes available through Evolution. You can equip two units during a run and swap between them. This makes party-building less about six separate characters and more about pairing two complementary kits.

The current community ranking evaluates units by Story and Endless usefulness, boss effectiveness, ability synergy, and the difference between general progression and Raids. Rarity still matters, but it is not the only factor; an evolved unit with good traits can beat a rarer unit that has not been developed.

All ranked Anime Zero units

The table below preserves Beebom's October 2026 ranking and the reason attached to each unit.

Unit Tier Source summary
Cataclysm S Fast attacks, strong multi-tick abilities, and short cooldowns. Excellent for Story and Endless, but needs better timing against aggressive bosses.
Cursed King S Fast slashes, large fire attacks, domain control, and i-frames. Especially strong for difficult Raid fights.
Dragon Eclipse A Heavy close-range attacks and a powerful awakened ultimate for early Endless bosses. Slower attacks are less comfortable.
Immortal Sovereign A A flexible Mythic option that performs consistently across Story and Defend content.
Divine Emperor B Heavy sword attacks with long-range pressure. Some slower animations are risky against Raid bosses.
Lights of Divinity B Fast sword combos and burst damage. Below the top units but still worthwhile.
Twisted Agony C Acrobatic moves with knife throws and scythe attacks. Falls behind as enemy health increases.
King's Gambit C Uses swaps, deceptive range, and quick attacks, but lacks higher-tier consistency.
Rubber Man C Fast melee combos and heavy impacts for early progress, with a lower long-term ceiling.
Cosmic Warrior D Teleportation and energy attacks make a fun starter kit, but it struggles after early rooms.
Thunder Prodigy D Godspeed movement and shock attacks feel fast, but usefulness falls behind after early progression.

Best character choices by content

Story and Endless: Cataclysm is the best default because speed and short cooldowns make repeated runs efficient. Cursed King is equally strong when you prefer safer attacks or need i-frames.

Raids and bosses: Cursed King is the safer pick. Its i-frames and domain control let you keep attacking while avoiding some incoming damage. Cataclysm still works if your timing is good, but it gives up Cursed King's defensive reliability.

Early account progress: Rubber Man, Cosmic Warrior, and Thunder Prodigy can clear early rooms, but replace them once you roll an A Tier or S Tier option. Do not overinvest in D Tier kits.

Pairing units and traits

Because you can equip two units, a practical pairing is one fast clear unit and one safer boss unit. Cataclysm plus Cursed King covers both needs, though any two units you enjoy using can work during early progression.

For traits, Deadeye and Supernova support general damage. Fortune is better while farming Evolution materials. Accessories such as Blast Archer Wings and Blast Archer Crown support both builds; Wings add Drop Rate, while Crown leans harder into damage.

Character terminology for searchers

Many players search for "Anime Zero characters" when they mean the Arsenal units listed above. If you arrived looking for anime series characters such as Re:Zero or The Familiar of Zero, those are unrelated to this Roblox game. Here, "character" is commonly used for the playable weapon or unit you roll and evolve.

After choosing a unit, use active codes for Trait Rerolls and Lucky Spins, then evolve the unit you want to main. See the codes page, weapons and units tier list, and Evolution guide for the next steps.
